The Honest Part

The thoughts that visit youat 11 PM on a Sunday.

Every working professional with a startup idea has had at least three of these. You're not indecisive or lazy — you're missing a system, a community, and someone to sit with you through it. That's what Founders in Residence is.

"
2 AM thought
I have an idea. I've had it for two years. I just don't know where to even begin to make it real.
"
The real confusion
I don't know if there are government schemes I qualify for. I don't know how incubation works. It all feels like it's for "other" people.
"
After 6 hours of YouTube
I've watched every startup video. Read every framework. Still no idea what to actually do first with my specific idea.
"
The fear underneath
I'm more scared of never trying than of failing. But I don't know how to make a move without taking reckless risks.
"
The job trap
I can't quit right now — EMIs, family, stability. But I also don't want to be 45 and still wondering what if I'd just started.
"
The real blocker
I don't know how to validate if my idea is real, what it'll cost to build, or whether anyone will even pay for it.

You are not stuck because you lack intelligence or drive. You're stuck because the information, access, and clarity you need are scattered across a thousand places — and nobody has put them together for you, with your idea, in one room. Founders in Residence does exactly that. Two days. Your idea. Your plan. Your access to India's startup infrastructure.

Is This For You?

Built for one type of person. We'd rather be honest than fill seats.

Read both columns. If the left sounds like you — apply. If the right sounds like you — we'll tell you what to do instead.

Founders in Residence is for you if…
You have a full-time job and want to explore your startup idea without quitting
You have an idea — rough, half-baked, or just a feeling — and need a structured way to evaluate it
You want to understand how to access government schemes, incubators, and startup support in India
You want frameworks and clarity — not another motivational talk or generic course
You're ready to spend a weekend building something real, not just thinking about it
This is not for you if…
You already have paying customers and are focused on scaling — there's a different Bizowl program for that
You want someone to build or run the startup for you — this is about your clarity and capability
You're looking purely for investor connections without doing the foundational work first
You're not willing to commit both days — the program builds on itself session by session

Bizowl would rather direct you to the right program than accept you into the wrong one.

How This Works

Not a course. Not a webinar.A 2-day founder residency.

Three things make Founders in Residence different from every startup workshop you've attended or skipped before.

01 · Practical
You build it in the room, not as homework
Your business model canvas, pricing strategy, and GTM plan get built live during sessions — using your actual idea, not a generic example. You leave Sunday with documents in hand, not a to-do list of things to "figure out later."
→ Execution, not just education
02 · Ecosystem Access
Government schemes, incubation, and investment — demystified
Most founders don't know what's available to them — Startup India, MSME schemes, incubator applications, state-level support. We map all of it to your idea and tell you exactly what you qualify for and how to apply.
→ India's startup infrastructure, made accessible
03 · Real Opportunity
Standout startups get referred to our investment partners
If your idea is genuinely strong after the weekend, Bizowl actively refers you to our investment and incubation partners. We're not just teaching — we're watching for the ones worth backing. There's no application or extra step. It happens naturally.
→ Merit-based, zero gatekeeping

The 2-Day Curriculum

10 sessions. Each one builds on the last.By Sunday you have a plan, not just notes.

Day 1 takes you from idea to validated business model. Day 2 covers the path from idea to live — including how to tap into India's startup support infrastructure.

Day 1 — Saturday · Idea to Business Model
1
Session 1 · Day 1
Finding the Right Problem
You'll know whether you're solving a real problem — or an assumed one.
Most working professionals fall in love with their solution before validating the problem. This session teaches you to identify problems worth solving — ones people are already trying to fix, even if imperfectly. We run a live problem audit on every idea in the room.
Walk away with: A clear, testable problem statement for your startup idea.
2
Session 2 · Day 1
Idea Validation — Fast & Honest
You'll validate or confidently rethink your idea before spending a single rupee.
Validation doesn't need 6 months of surveys. It needs 3 honest conversations with the right people. This session shows you who to talk to, what to ask, and how to read the answers — go, pivot, or stop. You'll build your validation script live.
Walk away with: A validation checklist and 5-question customer interview script for your idea.
3
Session 3 · Day 1
Business Model Canvas
You'll have a one-page view of how your startup actually makes money.
The BMC isn't a poster — it's the fastest way to check if your idea is economically sound. We fill it live for your idea — value proposition, customer segments, revenue streams, channels, and key partners — all mapped to the Indian market context.
Walk away with: A completed Business Model Canvas for your specific startup.
4
Session 4 · Day 1
Customer Research & ICP
You'll know exactly who your first customer is — not a demographic, a specific person.
Generic targeting is why most early startups fail at marketing. You'll build an Ideal Customer Profile that names the job, the frustration, what they've already tried, and where they spend time online. This one document will shape your pricing, marketing, and messaging.
Walk away with: A complete ICP document that's specific enough to find your first customer.
5
Session 5 · Day 1
Pricing Models that Work in India
You'll know what to charge, how to structure it, and how to justify it — without guessing.
Pricing is where most Indian founders leave money on the table. We cover value-based pricing, subscription vs. one-time, freemium traps, and what actually converts in the Indian market. You'll build your pricing architecture live against your own ICP.
Walk away with: A 3-tier pricing structure tested against your customer profile and market context.
Day 2 — Sunday · Launch, Access & India's Startup Ecosystem
6
Session 6 · Day 2
Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy
You'll know how to reach your first 10 customers — without a marketing budget.
Most GTM advice assumes money. This session covers zero-budget channels that work in India — direct outreach, WhatsApp communities, LinkedIn, referral loops, and micro-content. You'll pick one primary channel and build a 30-day execution plan inside the room.
Walk away with: A GTM plan with one channel selected, justified, and a 30-day action calendar.
7
Session 7 · Day 2
How to Build an MVP & Make It Live
You'll know what to build first, what to skip, and how to launch before you're "ready."
An MVP isn't a half-finished product — it's the smallest thing that proves your idea works. We help you scope what's essential vs. what's a distraction, identify what can be done without code, and build the launch sequence that gets you to your first real user in weeks.
Walk away with: An MVP scope and phased launch checklist specific to your idea.
8
Session 8 · Day 2
Government Schemes & Startup India Benefits
You'll know exactly what government support you qualify for and how to actually apply.
Most founders don't know what's available — Startup India recognition, MSME registration, state-level schemes, seed funding programs like NIDHI and TIDE 2.0, and tax benefits. We map all of this to your idea, industry, and stage — and walk you through the application process step by step.
Walk away with: A personalised government schemes checklist and application guide for your startup.
9
Session 9 · Day 2
Incubation, Acceleration & How to Apply
You'll understand how incubators and accelerators work — and know which ones are right for your idea.
Incubation isn't just for IIT graduates with tech startups. Many programs exist for early-stage founders from any background. We walk you through what incubators actually provide, how selection works, what a strong application looks like, and how Bizowl's network can support your applications directly.
Walk away with: A curated list of incubators that match your idea and stage, with guidance on applying.
10
Session 10 · Day 2
Bizowl Ecosystem, Events & Your Next 30 Days
You'll leave with a clear 30-day action plan — and know exactly what support exists around you.
This session brings everything together. You'll build a week-by-week plan for your first 30 days, get full access to Bizowl's ecosystem — events, startup resources, community, and future programs — and understand how Bizowl identifies and refers standout startups to investment partners. This isn't a goodbye. It's an onboarding.
Walk away with: A 30-day roadmap, your Bizowl Founders in Residence badge, and access to the full Bizowl ecosystem.
What's Included

The sessions are the core. The ecosystem access is what makes it different.

Bizowl's Founders in Residence Promise
If you attend both days, engage with the sessions, and feel you did not leave with a clear, actionable plan — we will personally work with you until you do. We are not in the business of delivering sessions and moving on. We are in the business of making sure working professionals finally make their move.
Who Runs This Program

Practitioners.Not professors.

The people running Founders in Residence have worked directly with Indian founders in the trenches. The frameworks are not imported from a US playbook — they were built from watching 500+ Indian startups navigate real obstacles.

Prashant Sirohi
Founder & CEO, Bizowl
Prashant is the founder and CEO of Bizowl — India's dedicated platform for early-stage founders. He has worked directly with 500+ Indian founders across 12+ industries on product strategy, go-to-market, early user acquisition, and startup ecosystem navigation. He has watched talented working professionals sit on ideas for years because they never had the right structure, access, or community around them. Founders in Residence is the program he built to change exactly that — practical, India-specific, and focused on giving working professionals the fastest possible path from idea to action.
In future cohorts, sessions may be facilitated by other members of the Bizowl team — practitioners trained in the same frameworks and vetted by Prashant directly. The quality and specificity of the program does not change when that happens.

Questions

Every question a working professionalasks before joining.

We've answered the things you're actually wondering.

I don't have a startup idea yet. Can I still join?
Yes. The first session is specifically about finding the right problem to solve. Many of the strongest ideas in our community came from people who "didn't have an idea" but had years of observations about what's broken in their industry. That's actually where the best ideas come from. You don't need an idea to start — you need curiosity and a willingness to look closely.
What's the difference between the virtual and in-person option?
The curriculum, sessions, templates, and ecosystem access are identical. The in-person option (Delhi NCR) adds a physical venue, face-to-face networking with your cohort, working space for both days, and access to local investor and founder meetups that Bizowl runs. If you're in Delhi NCR and can come in person, it's the better experience. If you're outside Delhi NCR or prefer the flexibility, virtual is full-featured.
Should I quit my job before starting?
No — and we'd actually recommend against it at this stage. The best time to validate your idea, talk to customers, and understand the market is while you still have a salary covering your expenses. This program is specifically built around the reality that you have a job. Many strong Indian founders ran their first experiments for 6–12 months before transitioning. That's not cowardice — it's how you do it without unnecessary risk.
What government schemes will I learn about?
We cover the full landscape — Startup India recognition, DPIIT registration, MSME Udyam registration, seed funding schemes like NIDHI Prayas and TIDE 2.0, state-level startup policies, SIDBI schemes, and tax benefits available to DPIIT-registered startups. More importantly, we map these to your specific idea, industry, and stage — so you're not reading a list, you're learning what you personally qualify for and how to apply for it.
What about incubation? How does that work?
We walk you through what incubators and accelerators actually provide (it's different for each), what they look for in applications, and how to identify the ones right for your stage and sector. Bizowl has an incubator & accelerator directory and active relationships with several programs across India — and we actively help promising participants from this cohort with their applications.
How does the investment referral work?
It's not an application — it's something that happens naturally. Across the weekend, the Bizowl team gets to know your idea, how you think, and how you work. Startups that stand out are proactively referred to our investment and incubation partners after the program. There's no extra pitch or process. We make the introduction. Whether it goes further depends on both sides — but the door is open in a way it usually isn't for most early-stage founders.
I only have weekends. Is 2 days really enough to get clarity?
2 focused days with the right structure moves most founders further than 6 months of thinking alone. You won't have a finished product — but you'll have a validated idea, a business model, a pricing strategy, a GTM plan, a govt schemes map, and a 30-day action plan. That's everything you need to know what to do next. The point isn't to finish everything — it's to get unstuck and moving in the right direction.
Do I need technical skills or a co-founder?
No to both. The program covers no-code and low-cost ways to validate and build — you don't need to write code to test your idea. And most early validation can be done solo. A co-founder becomes useful later, but you don't need one to attend, participate, or build a plan. Many solo founders have gone on to build strong startups — this program is designed with them in mind.
Will someone actually work on my idea specifically?
Yes. We keep cohort sizes small specifically so every participant's idea gets individual attention. You're not a face in a 500-person webinar. Your idea, your industry, and your challenges are what we work on inside the sessions. The Bizowl team is in the room and actively engaged — not running a broadcast.
Will I get mentorship after the program?
Yes. All participants get access to Bizowl's mentor network post-program. There's also a 30-day async review — a month after the cohort ends, the Bizowl team reviews your progress and sends written feedback. If you're stuck, you have somewhere to go. The program doesn't end on Sunday.
Will there be recordings?
Both days are recorded and available for 30 days after the program, timestamped by session. That said — showing up live matters. The sessions are interactive, your idea gets real-time feedback, and the value of being in the room is meaningfully higher than watching later. Recordings are a safety net, not a substitute.
How is this different from free YouTube startup content?
YouTube gives you frameworks designed for everyone. This program applies those frameworks to your specific idea, with someone who knows the Indian market in the room, alongside peers in the same situation. The bigger difference is the ecosystem access — government schemes, incubation guidance, investment referrals, and the Bizowl network are things YouTube cannot give you. Information is free. Access and application are what cost time, and that's what we compress.
Can I build a startup while doing a full-time job?
Many people have, and this program is built around exactly that reality. The question isn't whether it's possible — it is. The question is whether you're spending your limited evening and weekend time on the right things. Most side-project startups stall not because of lack of time, but because of lack of clarity on what to do. That's the one thing this weekend fixes.
Is ₹3,000 or ₹4,000 worth it?
Think about what ₹3,000 is — a dinner out, one month of a streaming subscription. If this weekend gives you a validated startup idea, a business model, a pricing strategy, a GTM plan, a government schemes guide, and a clear 30-day action plan — plus access to India's startup ecosystem and a potential path to investment — the question answers itself. The bigger cost isn't ₹3,000. It's another year of "I'll start when the time is right."
